Continuing development/support of VS100

I have been reading some articles on the web that makes me think that Roland will be the hardware side of the shop while Cakewalk will concentrate on the Software side. Has anyone heard anything like this.

I am the proud owner of the VS100 and really enjoy it. The unit is working very well for me. Of course, I have had to do a bit of work to get it right but the result is very nice.

I hope that they keep up with hardware units and their development.

The VS-100 is really just the baby brother of the VS-700, so these type of questions are usually posted on those threads. If the VS-700 survives, they will likely keep little brother around to hit another price point.

If you check out this thread, it is relatively recent, and at POST 25 the VS-700 Project Manager steps in with some comments.
EDIT: Changing the link to take you directly to the post by Samara, the project manager.

You may find it interesting. Just keep in mind, everything before post 25 is worried individuals speculating on what might happen, it's more focussed after that post.

BTW: I also own the VS-100 and love it. Sounds great, easy to use, versatile. Perfect for my project studio.
