Control Surface
This maybe the wrong place tp post this but I any stumped with my Korg NanoKrontrol.
It just does not want to talk to sonar. I have tried everything that I know including seveal emails from Korg. Heres what is happening:
I am an experienced PC user and pro Sonar X1 user. I had a BitStream control surface so I know how to install and use a control surface. I just bought the NanoKrontrol II and have a problem with Sonar X1 seeing any midi driver for the Nano. I have installed and unloaded, twice, the driver for the Nano and reinstalled the most current software from Korg. In the hardware manager, the Nano driver comes up whenever I hook the Nano UBS to the PC so all is working there. I have been on the Cakewalk blog site and others are having problems with no apparent solution. There appears to be no fix yet. I bought this for Sweetwater Sound and they gave me a second one to try out and I get the same results. What to do?
I spent some time reviewing related documents on the web concerning cleaning old midi devices in the registry. Mine was full and I removed all but the current UA101 driver for my outboard audio device. Sadly that has not solved the problem. I have removed and installed the nano driver and the Korg Kontrol Editor. No luck. Vista sees the nano when I plug it in. Drivers shows in device manager. In the registry, the KORGUMDD.DRV shows attached to midi 1. The Korg Kontrol Editor does not see tee the nano at all – that tells me there is some bug in the driver.
