Control surface problem!

Does anyone have any suggestions for this?
 
I have a Novation Nocturn i bought just to control my spectrasonics VST`s and it installed just fine with my laptop but when i attempt to install it on my desktop, everytime i click on "OK" just before "APPLY" in the control surface setup in "PREFERENCES" it freezes X1 and i have to restart.
 
Ive reinstalled X1 twice just to rule out any clitches but the same problem persists, any pointers in the right direction will be as ever gratefully recieved?

 X1D Expanded 
 X2A Producer E  
 Omnisphere, Stylus, Trillian

    I have Nocturn too and I don't have similar problem.

    Just installed Novation drvers, then Automap, then Automap Manager to specify which plugins I want to be Automap-usable.

    At last I started X1 and rescanned plugins.

    Look at manual of Nocturn and Automap, there are informations how corectly use it with DAW.

    Thanks for that, ive just discovered my issue is due to a missing windows dll, i tried to restore it without success so here goes yet another 2 days of my life with a complete reinstall lol.

    It's what I have to face too - total reinstallation :)
    But it's because little mess in my computer...

    and + 2 days of cleaning and archivising
