Control transport and sync

Can I control the transport functions on an external standalone recorder , like a Yamaha aw16g, from my Sonar daw, via midi cables thru my UA4-fx  interface . I would like to be able to sync and record audio from older units that dont have usb.  Thanks ...   Mark

I did this no problem with a Yamaha MD 8 mini disk  8 track recorder.

You will be getting these settings correct. Check transmit MMC , Transmit midi start stop. Midi time code.
With mine I used the 30 FPS. Then you make the correct settings in the Yamaha's menu.

"Thanks"  for the quick reply and screen shot . I will give this a try. Besides my Yamaha , a friend actually has the same md recorder you used that we are wanting to pull files from.   Thanks ..MS ..
