Controller changes volume, but where?

Hello,

I have a dirt cheap travel controller (AKM320) that has a volume slider along with other normal midi controllers (pitch, modulation).

Moving the volume slider with a track selected causes the track's volume to change. However, I don't see this change on the console slider nor the MIDI volume. For almost all instruments, I don't see the volume change in the instrument's UI output slider. However, I did see it change on the true-pianos virtual instrument.

Because changing the physical volume slider during recording causes the recording volume to change, I would like to delete those recorded automation values, however, it's difficult to locate where to clear-out those recorded volume values. Hint: they're not found in the track's "volume" automation control.

Any ideas on where to find what's now causing my tracks' volumes to be too low, or change, during playback?

thanks!
