Controlling Session Drummer 3 from a midi track.

Session Drummer works fine for me playing midi tracks with drum parts, but I have difficulty firing the pads A through H from a midi track.  in the piano editor I can see the PADs shown underneath the individual drums, but when I put notes on the appropraite lines, some pads play back, some don't, consecutive bars don't seem to work either.  What am I dong wrong? I had this problem in SD2 as well.

if there are no patterns in the pad.. then it won't play.. also might be your soundcard ? latency issue?

Yes there are patterns on the pads, i can fire them manually by hitting the pads with the mouse.  I'd be a bit surprised if it was latency, as i have never had a latency problem with any of the other plugins etc around Sonar, but i can try it. Does this part of SD work for you?

well the lower octave of the keyboard.. will start em.. and there is the off key also..

If you hit the pad, it has to wait for the first one (currently playing) to finish.. I mean I don't think it's instant it changes.

like I notice if you start stop a pattern it'll continue / not restart

Fog, it certainly sounds if it is working for you in a way that it doesn't work for me.  Could you post a simple cakewalk file which works for you, where the SD pads are fired by a midi track, so i can see whether it works for me too, or whether there's a problem with my installation?

there is a midi delay thing, that sometimes needs adjusting.. just a thought.

what is the keyboard you use and is it via usb / midi ? maybe it's sending "local" info as well.e.g. doubling up on messages
