Controlling Sonar (ACT?) with an Arturia Minilab

Anyone got or had experience of an Arturia Minilab?

I'm keen to find out if the 'endless rotary controllers' could be used to control mixer faders in Sonar?
These are the options from the manual:

Available settings for each of the encoders are:

Continuous Absolute: The default setting for Analog Lab: the knobs will send absolute values from 0-127.
Relative 1: The knob will send values 61-63 when turned in a negative direction and values 65-67 when turned in a positive direction. The turn speed determines the parameter response.
Relative 2: The knob will send values 125-127 when turned in a negative direction and values 1-3 when turned in a positive direction. The turn speed determines the parameter response.
Relative 3: The knob will send values 13-15 when turned in a negative direction and values 17-19 when turned in a positive direction. The turn speed determines the parameter response.

Anyone know if these are likely to be compatible with Sonar (I assume using ACT, but I'm not sure?) - I want to be able to use the encoders to adjust the mixer faders up/down without having any 'jumping' issues that I get with normal fixed rotary controls.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, should work.
1) with "Cakewalk ACT MIDI". At least somehow, not sure about acceleration.
2) with "Generic surface". Without acceleration, but in addition turning fast can produce no effect (I have not tested myself, so unsure)
3) with "AZ Controller". For sure (since the resolution and acceleration can be tuned there, in worse case by exact values mapping). Trickiest to setup from all 3, but I can help.

Looking briefly at the AZ Controller documents (apologies, I haven't read the entire manual yet😀) it mentions mapping midi controllers to keyboard shortcuts.
Is it possible to assign a button on the midi controller to emulate the CTRL key?
I've been looking at the Sonar Key bindings, but I don't think I can do this from there?

You do not have to apologies, I know only one person who has managed to read and understand that manual

In the latest test version that is possible (in previous versions it was possible to use combinations, like CTRL+A, but not CTRL alone). I mean you will need the test version from download section in you try to use that.

From my knowledge, that is not possible without AZ Controller (till you use Sonar independent MIDI mappers).
