Conversations with 3-year-olds
Tyler (my current favorite 3-year-old) walks in the house. Me: 'Hi Tyler!' Tyler, with hands on hips, chest out, eyes closed, cause THIS IS IMPORTANT!: "I'm a Thuper Hero!" Me: "Wow..you must work pretty hard. You must be tired!" Tyler: I'm tired ALL DAY! Me: So you must sleep all day! Tyler: Yes! All day! His mom: "I wish!" :) Me: So, do you sleep all night too? Tyler: Yes. No! I'm a Thuper Hero!" (it was rather cute to see my oldest son imitate him later too.) :)

My boys are teenagers and they still play "Thuper Hero" type games with me on occasion. We can spend a fair amount of time imagining scenarios together. The more confusing, outlandish and convoluted the scenario, the better they like it. Costumes and props are utlized on occasion. Capes are worn frequently. Bunny ears have been featured for years. Fun times!

My son used to dress up as a super hero and go to school that way..... ( we're talking High School) -LOL- He still plays the part often.

UB: If your boys are anywhere near anything like you, I can imagine you have more fun than 10 houses put together. :) Jim: He must be quite self-confident. :)
