Convert Gigastudio Midi to Audio

I have not been able convert midi files I use with Sonar and Gigastudio to audio. Bounce to Track will not highlight as the manual says. Can anyone help?

    Convert Gigastudio Midi to Audio

    Which Gigastudio ? version 1, 2 or 3 ? maybe the cracked one ? two ? three ?

GS3 has rewire for sharing the audio with Sonar.. the rest - nothing.. they are "standlones"

Much fun with ours to natural resound! <G>

Not exactly, Al - Giga 2.5 adds a virtual MIDI port to Sonar and has its own utility to render a Sonar MIDI track to wav.

    not as far as i know .. i'm right, you're wrong !
that GS rendering to wav was always a part of it... i still call all GS before 3 a standalone, Gigastudio couldn't pass any audio information to Sonar and that means there's now way to "bounce" midi track to audio.. for years now you must capture that wav file within GS itself. With GS3 things are better.. you can Rewire it.
also - there are 3rd party utilities for making giga to run as a VSTi ..not sure how good it really works.

    No I'm right and you're wrong :

The wav rendering function came as an update to Giga 2 - before that, including Gigasampler, it was only possible to record Giga as external audio.

There's no such thing as a MIDI sample. MIDI is control info. If you have Giga 3 - rewire it into S4, as mentioned above already by Al. It's described in the respective manuals.

I have giga studio 2.5 and sonar 4.0.3 and use them together all the time with other roland modules and such. The way I convert is to setup midi sync to go to a Nemesis port via the sync tab (in project menu I think). Then in Giga Set it to follow sync and then hit giggas Record button. It will ask you to name the file and set a location. Browse to the sonar audio folder of that song hit ok and it will say waiting for sync or seq. Hit play on sonar (after soloing the midi track(s) I want to layback and assigning the midi output port to go to nemisis which would have been done before recording the midi). Sonar sends sync to Gigga and gigga records the audio to the sonar project audio folder. After done laying back, I import the audio from the Audio folder into the sonar project and viola. This works so long as you start at zero. I understand you have 3 and can rewire as well as multi-laybacks. I plan to upgrade soon. Maybe this will be helpful to someone.
