Converting Drums to Midi AD2 Problem (SOLVED)

On old projects I've tried to replace drum audio with AD2 beats. When I play back the other tracks that are midi with it like a bass part I notice missed notes. The notes are skipped for some reason. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for any help!

Hi, Bill. How are you doing the conversion? Drag and drop ARA? Drum Replacer? Audiosnap? Is it multi tracked parts or a stereo file?

More details will help pin down might be going on.

Cheers.

Dropped MIDI notes usually indicates too small a "Prepare Using nnn Millisecond Buffers" value in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording . The default is 250, try increasing it to 500 or 750.

Thanks for the help Beeps! These are old AD 1  files I recorded a while back then converted them to audio files to practice lines with. I wanted to be able to increase or decrease tempos so I tried to replace them. First by doing a whole new track with AD2 but I got the skips. Then I tried reconverting back to midi but get the same thing. I used the upright in Dim Pro for the bass and that's mostly where I'm losing notes. I can replace with PRV but seems It would be much faster to call up a new AD part rather than redo the whole thing

Whoa, it was set to 68 and I know I did not do that. I will reset and retry. THANKS!

hmm... I see you are on X3 (if your dig is up to date) so this is probably the regular ARA audio to MIDI conversion. In which case (and you are getting dropped beats while performing it live or the MIDI program is not triggering AD2 reliably?) I'm going to have to agree with scook that your sytem is choking on itself so those buffer adjustments should help.

I'm still not 100% sure exactly what you are doing but if that doesn't work then of course I'm sure someone here can help get it sorted.

The original MIDI files are totally gone?

Also if you just want to change the tempo of the original audio clips you could always just turn them into Groove Clips.

Cheers.

I have chronic amnesia but THAT is no excuse! How the number 68 got in there and more importantly "WHY" I have no idea!  You'd think I would have thought of checking it. I suppose it was something to do with my intellagance quosion but I get sleepy when I think about it!
