Converting Edirol to Audio
I've been trying to convert my MIDI Edirol to Audio, on the Edirol Audio track the aRm button is greyed out and I can't record my MIDI. I poked around and can't figure it out, unless the Edirol that ships with MC doesn't allow you to do that. I checked out the Help and it looks as though you should be able to do that. Any ideas???

Edirol IS audio, so you can't covert it to what it already is. I don't use it much, but here's how it works (others who use it more will correct me if I'm wrong): Prepare a MIDI track to record something; select 'insert DXi' from the toolbar above, and select Edirol; set the MIDI track's output to Edirol and choose the patch (voice sound, whatever you call it); record the MIDI and it will be coverted to the (audio) Edirol patch you have chosen. I think. Search 'Edirol' or 'Dxi' here in the forum, or in MC's help file for tons of info. Greg

gregy - almost. grey's suggestion will get it to play midi for you. if you are asking how to convert that MIDI file to audio, then you have to carry it one step further. select both the MIDI source track and the EDIROL AUDIO track. Choose EDIT>BOUNCE TO TRACKS and follow the prompts.
