Ok! Ok! I confess! I really should have been convicted for fake drum abuse in the following song... For the record, I had only been playing drums for TWO weeks and this was a first take (I play every instrument - no, not all at once, that would have been much cooler). I had just bought my Schecter Scorpion baritone guitar and had to try it out (running it through one of the weird filters on my G-Force) so I came up with this song. I remember the time the bass player locked his keys in the car. Took over an hour to get the drummer out. I sometimes put drumsticks on my dashboard so I can park in the handicap spots. What did the drummer get on his SAT test? Drool. When the drool is coming out both sides of a drummer's mouth equally, what does it mean? That the drum riser is level. What do you call a bass player in a suit? The defendant. What's the last thing a drummer says in a band? "Hey guys, I have an idea for a song!"

When the band crowds around the drum riser, i like to arrange the bassist, guitarist and lead vocalist in descending pitch order. Their skulls sound amazing, like tuned woodblocks mixed with a wet/meaty "thwack". The placement of the overhead mics is critical to capture the sound.
I didn't come in earlier because someone thought it would be funny to tape some sheet music to the door. In addition, I had to wipe the drool off of my keyboard. Hang on, there are three other guys trying to change a light bulb. I have to go tell them how Neil would do it better. BRB.
