Convolusion Reverbs, Perfect Space vs Pristine Space

I downloaded several Bricasti IRs from Samplicity. For each IR, there are 3 files, one Left, one Right and one M/S. Perfect Space can only handle 1 file, as far as I understand. Can anyone explain to me would the sound difference between L/R and M/S is, and if it makes sense to upgrade to Pristine Space to be able to load several IRs?

i think (i think lol) thats the way they have recorded the IR's, i dont know why you would want to load 3 different impulses, maybe it would give good effect with reverbs panned, but one suffice for me, just my opinion

in perfect space you can load 2 ir's but it either a or b, no way to layer them or x-fade between them

dont know about yous guys but with reverbs, when i'm bussing different **** like drums and so on, i tend to put the reverb on that buss, rather than a separate buss which you would usually send to, tend to have the reverb just a touch damp, how about yourselfs ??

As stated, it's free and I also use it, but on every project with jbridge, it works great. I use it on vocals mostly.
I have downloaded many free impulses, working great here.

The L/R impulses are to be used with a true-stereo reverb plugin, i.e.,  stereo-in/stereo-out.

Perfect Space is not a true stereo reverb , and none of the other reverbs included with Sonar are true stereo either.  The incoming signal is summed to mono and the plugin creates a pseudo-stereo output.  The "M/S" impulses (mono to stereo) are designed for use with this type of reverb.

If you are just putting reverb on a vocal or a mono source, true stereo isn't a big deal.  However, if you are trying to retain the original panning information of the dry source, which is often the case with orchestral simulations or if you want to put an entire drum mix into a virtual room, then true-stereo is a big step up.  Otherwise, the sound stage gets smaller because all the things that you panned at opposite corners only reverberate from the middle.

I hope that all makes sense.

If you are open to a non-convolution reverb, 2CAudio Breeze sounds utterly fantastic and it's on sale right now for $99.  I've been through a lot of reverb plugins and this one is my favorite by far.

Remember it's the quality of the impulses that really matters. Roo's Bricasti's are very nice & use them myself in Pristine Space (which does True Stereo) Other ir's that are available free may have issues.

You can use multiple instances of Perfect Space, panned appropriately, to get true stereo.  It works just fine.

That's ridiculous, Freddie. Has the math somehow changed? Come on.

PerfectSpace does have one significant limitation, which is that it's not a true stereo effect. Other than that, it does what it does exactly how it was intended to do it.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
