Convolution Reverb

I have recently loaded and tried the SIR-1 reverb - it took a while to figure out how to use it (as in finiding and downloading the impulses themselves) - Very impressive!!! Looking forward to replacing it with other reverb plug-ins I already have in projects. Being a noobe to this, are there readers out there that know of some good sources of impulse-response files? I have found some good ones from Voxegno and Lexicon - but I am sure someone knows of others -----

Thanks !

You get a bunch of impuses with the Perfect Space bundled with Sonar.

I use Voxengo's Impulse Modeler to make my own simple impulses... works pretty good.

    Charles,

    Noisevault.com

Then do a search - there are a lot of free impulses out there.

If you don't mind spending some money, there are plenty of options, too. I think Studio cat here on the forums has a collections - do a Cake Search. It was highly recommended. I have the Spirit Canyon CDs, which are weird, "effect" reverbs. A lot of reverse sounding stuff among others things like filters. Just used an strange echo impulse from it on a rock song. Along the same vein is Virtusonic's CD. Good stuff, too.

Voxengo has a collection of files available on their site, also.

Since your a noob, you should know about KVRAudio.com ... this site contains a lively forum, a pretty good industry news feed, and probably the most substantial database of plugins, DAWs, audio apps, etc, online.

Check it out. KVRAudio dot com

Just google "impulse response files". You'll be busy all weekend downloading.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
