Copy & Paste using Event List

I had a couple controller events at the start of a midi track that I wanted to copy and paste into another track. Since the events were positioned at the very start of the track I thought it would be easy to use the event list to easily access them. I selected the source track (in track pane) and then set the event list to display the source track, copied the event, changed the event list to display the target track and then tried to paste at the start of the track. The surprise is that the paste operation *did not* go into the target track. I believe it went into the source track. This totally mystified me so I started experimenting. I believe the way it works is that the paste operation into the event list goes into whichever track is selected in the track view, totally ignoring whichever track is displayed in the event list. Is that the way it's supposed to work? --Larry

For some bizarre reason, Sonar always defaults to the source track. If you use Paste Special (Ctrl+Alt+v, or from the menu), you can select the correct track number. I use event list quite often. good luck.
