Copy as midi on audio snap

Hi guys!

I have a problem 'copying as midi' from the audio snap palette in SONAR X1 Producer. When I view the midi info on the piano roll, the notes are of varying lengths but don't join(I presume for the audio transient strength - bass drum transients are longer than hi hats). I really don't want the gaps in between the notes. I'm sure in the past I got them to join up, but have not worked out how to do it now. Before anyone asks, there is a reason I want them to join up. I realize I could do this manually, but it is time consuming.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
