Copy midi notes in The Piano Roll

Hi
I do have a strange problem
When I'm in TPR, if I want to copy some notes and I select them with lasso and than press on keyboard Control + C -> Control + V (to copy them in a new position) it's doing it but it's creating a new clip instead of just merging notes in the current clip as it should do
If I copy them with select lasso and then moving after pressing control it's fine
There is probably a preference that I set it wrong .
Can you please help me ?
Thanks

Not sure there is a setting that will allow you to do this.

You can of course easily bounce the 2 clips to one using, er,  bounce to clips

Hi, thanks for your reply. I know that I can do that but it's a nonsense doing two operations to simply copy notes in editing
    Anyone has a hint ?

Use Ctrl+Alt+V when pasting the notes (instead of just Ctrl+V) and then click [Advanced] and check "Paste into Existing Clips."
