Copy/Paste Element -- Uneven volumes when panning?

I've noticed something --

Start with a simple pad, say "PADS - Warm Pad." Then copy and paste the 1st element into the 2nd slot. Then pan the 1st 100% L, and the 2nd 100% right. The 1st element always sounds louder -- check your meter too -- even if you reverse the pans.

The Mix > Volume is copied, so nothing changed there.

Can someone confirm this?
