Copying an effect from one track to another
I'm having a "senior moment". Seems to me I used to be able to copy an effect from one track to another, but I tried it yesterday and there was no copy option available on Right Click. I can drag the effect from one track to another but that is not what I wanted to do. For example, a VST reverb effect with certain settings and that same reverb and settings were needed for another track.

This actually brings up something that has been bugging me. In the track view, I can sometimes see the FX Bin in the actual track (right part of the screen). Sometimes it is not there. It is always in Inspector, but that does not enable me to drag-copy from one track to another. The work-around is to go into Console view (which I otherwise never use). Why is the FX Bin not always visible in the track?

Why is the FX Bin not always visible in the track? In your Track Inspector make sure you have the FX Bin displayed in your layout. There is a rectangular drop down next to the Time display at the top of Track View that you can customize your view. Make sure FX bin is visible in your default view if you want it via Track Control Manager.

I default mine to "All" and that shows the "FX" box (and all other items).

Also when dragging an effect it opens it up not sure if thats by design? also if dragging an FX chain it opens up the effect below that. For example lets say sonitus compressor is in a track, you insert fx chain preset in another track, then Ctrl-drag that fx chain preset into the track where the sonitus compressor is, the sonitus compressor will open up or the way around Ctrl-drag an fx into a track where an fx chain reset is loaded will open fx chain and not the fx you just dragged over.

OK, I see where that ALL drop-down is now. Strangely, I never noticed that before. Thanks.

My copying was because I had a vocal track with several VST's setup. I then decided I needed to run it through Antares, so I added the Antares and disabled the other VST's. I then bounced the Vocal track with the Antares "fix" to a new track. I wanted to still use the other VST's, that had been customized for that specific vocal track but couldn't remember how to move them to the new track. I have some customized templates that I use, but that wasn't this particular case.
