Copying effect to multiple tracks

Is there a short cut to copy an effect from one fx bin to the rest of tracks effects bins ?  Instead of copying to each track separately?

    Kind of.

Create a bus and insert the desired effect on it.
Create a 'send' on each track and send it to the bus with the desired effect.

This way you are only using 1 instance of your effect, saving CPU and also you can adjust the 'send' level of each track individually for more or less of the effect.

You can also create a bus with your effect and set the output of your tracks you want effected to the bus.  The downside here is you cannot control the amount of effect on each individual track.

If you literally want a copy of the same effect in each bin I don't know of any other way besides control dragging the effect to each track.

    Hope this helps

I was using control drag to put an instance of Slate VCC on each track.  I was hoping there would be a quicker way to put it on multiple tracks at once.  Hmmm, feature request?

    I see.

As an alternative - once you set this project up you can save the track or tracks as a track template, (right click on tracks - save as track template) this way on future profects you can simply insert from track template and they will all be set up with the plug in.

Yeah, I thought of that. I do have a track template set up.  But it's only with the drum tracks since I'm not sure exactly how many track I'll be using. Not a bad Idea though, and may be my only solution for now. Thanks.

'Clone Track' will copy a track with effects to multiple new tracks. Only useful for creating new tracks though..
