Core parking on Sandy bridge, should I disable? How?

Core i5-2410M, manufactured in March. So hopefully not a defective one. I noticed(task manager-performance tab) the second thread of each core reads parked. I haven't really even begun to push the processor as I'm going to install a larger faster HDD before installing my apps.. So, is this normal? The first thread of core 0 is doing 80% of the work. The first thread of core 1 is doing about 20%.
Is there a way to disable it?

Yeah I've seen the way to do it on the first gen Core i processors, but I was wondering if it's the same procedure for the second gen.(i.e.-sandy bridge) Core i's. I don't want to screw anything up. I don't think anybody has done this yet with the new ones.

What do you mean sorry, I appreciate the help. How is your i5 behaving? Do the idle cores kick in after a certain amount of Vst's? What's the threshold for these things? This is my first i series machine.

    ;-)

the i5 has been completely stable and I've seen FAIRLY level use between all 4 cores on any project that loads the system.  it only uses the first core if it's just audio only, no FX or softsynths, but when I start piling things on the cores usually start to creep up, sometimes #2 will be higher than the others, but not by a lot.  I'm not sure how to measure the threshold, do you have a system of measurment in mind?  I'll try it and let you know.

this is my first i series as well.  my previous system was a Q6600.
