Couple of bugs? Adaptive Limiter and track weirdness with latest update.
Was rendering some mastered files for a client last night and had a couple of weird things happen. Maybe user-error, maybe someone else has seen them?
First involved Adaptive Limiter. After freezing the stereo master with Adaptive Limiter in the Fx bin or using File>Export Audio to a file without freezing first, Adaptive Limiter causes the first few miliseconds of the file to be silent ramping up quickly to level. This makes it sound almost like a fade-in but in reality the song starts on the first drum beats, which are cut off. I submitted a problem report for this. I haven't tried upping buffers or anything because replacing AL with FF Pro-L or Limiter No. 6 causes the file to render normally with no issues so it's definitely an AL issue.
Second issue is something I probably fat fingered but can't solve. I did a mix down of all tracks to a stereo "master" track but didn't like some levels so went to delete it. I highlighted the audio in the track file and hit delete and all audio tracks deleted. I made sure I hadn't done a "select all" or anything and made sure even individually selecting and soloing tracks before going back to the one I wanted to delete but no luck. So then I tried to just drag it out of the way but all tracks then dragged. I must have fat-fingered some shortcut key to link all tracks but can't for the life of me figure it out. I could delete it by selecting the track by clicking the track number, right-clicking and choosing "Delete Track" but really wanted to keep the track number but just delete the audio in it. I do this all the time so this isn't normal behavior. Anyways, just wanted to put this out there.
Thanks,
M.
