Couple of newb issues.

Hello. I have got a a couple of issues.
 
I'm running sonar8 producer, I have recorded a guitar over a backing track. I'd like to add effects on the guitar track. When I try to insert an effect I  can see the first menu clearly, but when I try to go into the various options the menus run off the screen and I can't see many of the options. I can bodge round this by making the guitar track 1 and then the menu start high enough on the screen to allow more sub options to appear in view.
 
If I wanted to extend a few bars in the middle of a song what is the best way to do so. I'm importing an mp3 audio backing track which I want to extend.
 
When I have a track mix I like, what do I export it as (type of file) so I can play it on my media player.

    Is your screen resolution at the recommended value?
    You could open the Console view (Views>Console, or click the Console icon above the Track view) and insert the effect there.
    Do you mean you want to add more measures to the song somewhere in the middle? Place the Now line where you want the space inserted and click Insert>Time/Measures at the top and select the amount you want inserted. This will split the track where the Now line is at and move the last part over to the right.
    Does your media player play .wav files?  Those are a lot larger than mp3s, though, so you may not want to use so much space on the player. If you do not have an mp3 encoder on your computer, there are many available for free on the internet. Export your song as a .wav to your folder of choice and then convert it to mp3 to load onto your player.

    Get familiar with the F1 key. It will open the Help files. At least browse through these, or better yet,spend some time and read them.
    There's a ton of information, and it won't all make sense at first, but when situations arise, you will probably remember seeing the answer.
    The best part is that you will probably find a bunch of stuff that Sonar can do that you might not even think to ask about.
    Of course, somebody is usually around here to help if you can't quite wrap your head around something.
