    Hi Kev,

    No suggestions here, either...

    Beautiful arrangement, playing and recording!

    Very nice and well played.

I though the guitar sounded a little "hollow" (Well of course it sounded hollow) What I mean is that sounded like maybe the the mic was too far back or too much mid range or some EQ thing.

Very pretty, but too short ;>)

Hi Kev, lovely arrangement and playing, good job. As for the guitar sound, I would suggest you boost the area around 250hz a bit and cut the area around 800-1000hz. I would also use a compressor to tame some of the spikey highs and give the sound a bit more body. But as it is now , it has a lovely old fashioned charm about it, especially with the birds in the background. I enjoyed this very much, thanks for posting.

EXCELLENT playing. I like the distant air quality of the recording. Mums is going to love it!  KUDOS!

    Kev,

Nicely played old classic.   As pointed out already, the guitar is a little distant sounding.   Nothing a little EQ and compression can't fix though.

Also, I think I hear some birds chirping in the background towards the end....

    Hey !
Yes I had the mic quite far from the guitar, this is because it sounded boomy close ,so I placed the mic further away.Only Eq I did was a slight booast around 220 Hz and a dip around 800Hz - maybe this is what makes its sound hollow ??
    Thanks for your input !!

    Hi Rik
I'd already applied those EQ cuts and booasts in the recording-almost excately those values too :)  I used a compressor on the master, just to stop any overs, but sure maybe you're right,a bit more could help give the sound body like you say.
Glad you liked it !! I'll let the birds know too,the noisey buggers lol

    Hey !
I'll try messing around with EQ and compression tommorow and see what I can do !! Ha yep and the birds were at it all afternoon (again) ..its like the moment I pick up the guitar and strum it sets them off !!!! I quite like it though - cheaper than session players anyway :)
