No worries... I do the same thing all the time. I found a UPI report that has already been copy pasted everywhere but this one seems more informative: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news...-asia-pacific-12945525 Thanks! best regards, mike

Oh..... THAT kind of crack...... The "street kind of crack" being found there, would possibly explain a lot of what's going on over there.....

I am waiting for "Fukushima" to become a verb and/or adjective, as in "man, this is really fukushima'd!"

Crg Here's a lesson in progress that we won't soon forget. It's only going to get worse. I truly hope not. Regardless of anyone's stand on nuclear energy (including mine), the lives and/or livelihood of an enormous amount of people are relying on this not getting worse. Lots of respect to these folks: http://www.nydailynews.co..._they_may_die_fro.html Not sure what I would do if I were them... But I do know that my wife's father is resolute in staying and helping out in his way (he's inland a bit). I'd actually like to go help, but my wife and I have decided that we can't do that until the plant is under control, which is actually one of the big problems. Recovery efforts for the "other" disaster (the tsunami) are being slowed by the reactor problems, both internal from Japan as well as international efforts in the immediate surroundings. - zevo

Scary, Really scary!!! With the currents that circulate around the world, the sea life being caught and distributed for consumption and actually seeing the size and water blowing out into the ocean-NOT GOOD. This will effect everyone for a LONGGGG time. I really feel for those there but I fear that as bad as it is and as bad as its going to get, they will down play to the least of their probs trying to deal with it to keep the world at piece while in reality, things will be much worse than made out to be. I think most see the pics of the leaks and think-just plug it. But its not a hole, its a large crack and no telling what they are not actually seeing and where else its going. Anyway, god bless the soles there directly trying to solve it and I have faith that in the end their best efforts will save many heart aches.

Indeed. As with all things like this, the truth isn't really out there for months to years after the events, and it's not just the realizations related to the nuclear plant, it's also all the other stuff that's not getting much coverage (by comparison). Take this, for example: http://www.asahi.com/english/TKY201104040167.html That's Urayasu, Chiba (just East of Tokyo). Sinking into the reclaimed land it was built on. My wife's uncle, his three sons (and wives), and several grandchildren lives there. Or the death toll... 12,000... but with 15,000+ missing. We won't really know the initial earthquake/tsunami death toll for quite a while. And half-a-million people homeless or displaced. I really wish we could go. But I can't justify taking my family into harms way quite yet. We'll go, but the radiation I take seriously, and the ugly fact is that getting into the Tohoku region right now is quite difficult, and in some ways we'd be competing with people who likely need transportation, food and lodging much more than we do. - zevo
