Crackley Sound

I just upgraded from Music Creator 2 to 3 and I record through a mic. When I record and listen to it, the recording sounds crackley. Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks, Travis

Need a lot more info. computer specs, sound card, mic type - anything connected between the mic and the sound card? driver mode?

Turn off ALL other programs, including virus scans, pop-up blockers, firewalls, screen saver, wallpaper. Turn off the system sounds. Turn off everything that starts automatically when you turn the computer on. Make sure the sampling rate of MC is the same as that of your sound card. Greg
