Crackling noise with Delta 44 sound card

Crackling noise with Delta 44 sound card
This problem is just driving me nuts! And been dealing with it for over a year.  First I was thinking it was preamps etc, loaded the latest drivers. Then I did a search on the internet  4 Crackling noise with Delta 44 sound card and found out I wasn’t alone. There seems to be some issues with this M-audio sound card and windows 7 64bit with a lot of people. I’m going to call M-audio and see what’s up.
Any feedback would be appreciated,
Thanks, will

I have a m-audio ozone, that I stopped using because their "new" drivers have been so *cough* poor in win7-64.. lets just say I'm not a customers of theirs after many years their "support" has been worse than abysmal

but aside from that 2 other things to check...

    1) PSU problem, years ago I had that when a PSU was about to fail from overloading.. pops / clicks were intermittant and not contnius

    2) a far more common one, earth loop / grounding issue.. if you have added anything equipment wise recently that would pin point it.

also your win 7 updates are all on ? they sometimes throw drivers.

Despite what some people with an ax to grind have to say, the Delta 44 with Windows 7 64-bit drivers works fine on my computer. Make sure you're using the ASIO drivers.

I use Intel processors. I could be wrong, but it sure seems like a lot of people using AMD processors have problems. I guess you get what you pay for.

You didn't say how much memory you have.
