Crash Failed to save document

Just happened to me when thought all was working great. unresponsive system reboot needed.. No clue as to why  , I had just bounce a track audio and was happy that i could use the 64 dp check box and do a fast bounce at the same time, then I went to save the file and crash..

I had problems with X1 doing this and what I found out was causing it was the sample rate for windows and the audio interface and X1 all have to be set the same. Sonar is supposed to have control over it but sometimes Windows doesn't play nice and it gets changed or does not get changed when it needs too. I don't know if this is your problem but it sure solvede mine!

Edit: In an attempt to explain it better here is how I figured it out.

I created a test project set at say 96000 hz sample rate with a little bit of audio in it.Under edit preferences and driver settings it was set at say 48000. I would get the white screen and would have to close it. Reopened the project and set edit preferences. driver settings to 96000,closed project reopened project ,saved with no problem , I was able to make it crash with the different sample rates or make it work with the same several times. I also made sure the windows settings are at the same sample rate .

I am so screwed ..out of memory, failed to save document, runtime error c++ ..  ..
I remember Noel said change the bounce buffer size , not sure what value he said it should  be and if that might even be the solution for my issue, but I did have it happen to me in x1a for a bit. 4 hr now struggling to save ... about to go postal soon..

OK im 1000 100 % sure its SONAR X1 ..I have project that was made in x1 and it'S no longer able to save . I just loaded that project that was made in x1 AND loaded it loaded fine in 8.5.3 and was able to save no problem  and use my tascam fw1884 asio driver ..  I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN X1 ANY MORE ..MY x1 PROGAM IS SERIOUSLY FLAWED!!!  never once have i ever got a out of memory issue , nor failed to save , or runtime error in 8.5.3 and with all those errors in x1,  8.5.3 still loads x1 projects and runs the better after created in x1  ..
