Crash Problem Sonar x2

All of a sudden one of my projects is crashing when I try to save (or auto save tries).  Been recording this tune for a while w no issues.  Have not added any new instruments or effects.  Have not changed any settings.  Maximized everything, turned off background processes.  Have memory to spare.  Can't figure out what's going on.  Appreciate some advice.

There has to be more information about the nature of the "crash." Usually there is an error message displayed or a Windows Event log entry.

Just hangs, no error message from Sonar.  Windows error message just says "Sonar stopped working".

Updated OS?  Security patches? New Items added?

Essentially, what has changed from the it works now, to now it doesn't?

Pretty sure, something has.  It's the most logical explanation.

Just my two cent.  Your mileage may vary.

Make sure the X2a path is applied.

Is it possible you do not have either Windows Update maintenance up to current levels for Windows 7, and/or perhaps Sonar X2 is not running at its most current level?  (I think scook pegged that as X2a - I don't know if there was ever an X2b maintenance release and I am cooking so I am skipping looking that up so I don't burn the sauteing mushrooms, mmmmm, and sorry)

And even though the Windows message said Sonar stopped working, perhaps if you go in and view the Windows Event Viewer data. that maybe there is/are error message(s) to help shed light on something detected at the Windows level - even if it shows a Sonar issue.

thanks bone.  Here's what I found in the event logs relating to Sonar when it crashed - 2 events below, not sure how to interpret it tho ?
    -------------------
The program SONARPDR.exe version 19.0.0.306 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

Before going any further, I would apply the X2a patch http://www.cakewalk.com/S...13301/SONAR-X2a-Update
