Create Midi Event/Region with a doubleclick

I think it would be nice to have a Midi Event created by doubleclicking on an empty Space in a midi or Instrument Track seen in other Daws(instead of right clicking on an empty space and choosing Pianoroll). There could be a Setting in Track View under Options->Doubleclick Options.
Sorry i am using the german Sonar Translation i don't know exactly how it's called in the english Version.

Nice idea.  Intuitive way to work with midi.

Good for drum programming where every note is short.
Try this:
Select the SmartTool (the star)
Press Alt and click once where you want your note.

Edit: Hang on, hang on, hang on.
Double-Click on the PRV with the SmartTool active DOES enter a note!
Non-note events are another matter.
