Creating playable samples for Sonar X1.. Please Help

Hi guys, I've never had to, but a client wants me to break up some audio tracks into playable samples for Sonar, so he can play bits from the midi keyboard. What native Sonar instrument if any can do this the easiest?

Thanks for the help!

break up some audio tracks into playable samples for Sonar

Are the audio track all in one stereo wave file? If they are, you cant seperate them into individul instruments.

They would have to all be MIDI Tracks and the VSTi/soft synth you use is determiend by what you want each track to sound like. You may need a different soft synth for every single instrument

    ummm yeah, no

Actually, the Matrix is great for this.
Open the interface and drag and drop your wave files ( directly from the project or the browser view ) right into the matrix cells. from here you can assign midi notes to each cell and play them directly form a keyboard and trigger them durring playback...and record the performance to boot. Great fun!
