Crisis du Jour (what's yours?)

The FM went into a virtual room. Flung some stuff around. This is what came of it.

Crisis du Jour

Written and performed by Jan Eiken, Ed Kocol and Daryl Greenway

Verse 1:
You never call until your world is falling apart
and so we speak most every day
I try to mend your broken heart.
and as I lose my voice you say that you've been dropped out from the will
and just when it couldn't get much worse
You tell me you've missed Dr Phil

Chorus (1):
Aliens in Thousand Oaks
Are taking over for sure
Now I want to know please tell me
What's your crisis du jour?
I hope they find a cure
For your crisis du jour.

Verse 2:
You hardly stir unless you're out complaining again
and still you seek someone to blame when your sky is falling in
and as they run away.
You plan a move to higher elevation
Trying to avoid the rising tide
Thanks to Honey Boo-Boo's revelation

Chorus (2):
Monkeys loose in New York state are knocking at my door
Trying to avoid what they throw at me
What's your crisis du jour?
I hope they find you a cure
For your crisis du jour.

Middle bit
The boss man says why are your projects forever late?
You stare at him in wonder trying to hold back bitter distaste
He's the reason for the hold ups, something you'll never say out loud
It's the way you make a daily choice just to keep this job and say you're proud

Chorus (3):
Earthquakes in Californiashire are becoming quite a bore
Ask them in Mission Viejo
What's your crisis du jour?
I hope they find a cure
For your crisis du jour
I hope they find a cure
For your crisis du jour

First, I love the song title.

I am a big Ska fan. You are a perfect Madness if you added a bit more weight to the song.

Keep them coming because I will keep listening.

Wishing you many successes.

Lance

yea....really enjoy this....I think I'd pull back the keys part (doing the back beat)....it kinds took over my mix and made it hard (for me) to focus on the vox...

really like the tune tho!!!

I think this needs a big bass boost. Well played and sung.  Very nice groove. Very good lyrics too. Pump up the bass and this will sell!

I see a musical pattern occuring.  I like it.  Another song from my homeland it sounds like.  Really interesting.  i agree with LanceJ.  A bit more heaviness(weight) would really "pomp you op".  Bass, I can't tell you how and wouldn't blame you if you didn't change anything.  I like this a lot.
