Crispy or Chewy?

I like mine chewy, right on the edge of crisp, but not quite.

I like it crispy just past the chewy stage, but not completely crunchy. I've been cooking it in the toaster oven and avoided the frying mess.....have been getting good results.

Hi,

At 65 ... both of them are not good for your teeth, but crispy seems to be easier on them, since after the crunch, it's mush!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

I suffer the mess.  I've never had better than that cooked in a cast iron skillet with enough of its own grease to call it deep fried.

Darn it ... now I'm hungry AGAIN

I used to like it exactly like you describe...until I had my lap band surgery.  now I have trouble eating ANYTHING that's chewy (no reflection on the Wookiee!)...

so now my becan is always extra crispy!  I can eat a LOT of it that way!!

Yeah, I'd prefer the iron skillet any day......but, the good Mrs. doesn't like the mess I make (and she cleans up).
In the toaster oven, the grease actually stays in......just without the splatter.

I use  aluminium foil to cover one of these, and clean up is ez peasy.......main thing being the BECAN is cooked to our liking. :))

I'm going with crispy, but extensive testing is required to determine if the sample in question is crispy enough.

I'm ready for the next platter.

Best mastering of becan tutorial that I have seen. This needs to be a sticky.
