Nice job on this one, I really like the vocals and the harmony. The clean guitars in the intro seemd "a touch" out of tune? This was really cool once it go going! I like the percussion and the overall vibe was really cool. I would like to hear/feel the bass a little more, sounds like a great bass player, you need to mix him up a bit. This sounds like it was mixed by the guitar player :-) It's not bad, you just need more ass end. And he plays a fretless too :-) :-) :-) I really like the changes that this thing went through, it just seemed really well written. Maybe a little bit of a Yes vibe? It didn't feel like 6 minutes when I was listening to it? Normally I wouldn't listen all the way through to a 6 minute song, but that wasn't the case here...

I always expect good things from you. I am not disappointed. I think I like this best to date!! It's all good but the vocals are phenomenal. Nice original tune!! Different. Great changes.

I liked the intro...and the change. Very cool. The bass for me could be a bit more boomy, but that's a personal preference for me. I wonder how it would sound with the bongos panned more left/right instead of just left.

Oh and I forgot to say I really liked the lyrics...somewhat mysterious and matched the music well. "Someone grab onto my hand and pull me out" with the bgvs was sweet!

This is good. The intro is nice and sets the song up well. When it gets going it moves up a gear and i liked that part even more. The recording quality and mix is excellent. You have a good voice too. A very inventive track that i enjoyed a lot. Great work.

Tom, I love those chords. This, like your others, is a big enterprise. The mix sounds very good and clean but to my ears the guitars are missing some mids (meaty) but it may just be these small speakers. Beautiful vocals all around.

Love the chorus. I did not notice the guitar tuning issues myself, but that may be because my git is always out of tune, so yours sounds right to me. Great mix.

Very good vocal performance and entertaining prog arrangement! I agree with others that: - More ass-end is indicated...PSP makes a great bass comp plug-in that is just what the doctor ordered here.
- GTR in the intro needs a wee bit of tuning. If you have Melodyne you might be able to pull it off without retracking.
- I will add that some of the drum/percussion work is a wee bit dry and varies in ambience through the piece? What do you think?
As with Robby, the six-minutes pretty much flew by for me. Overall a nice piece of work here! Best, Mark

robby - Thanks for listening. I'll probably either try Melodyne and see if that can tigthen up the intro guitar tuning or re-track it this weekend. I am the guitar player and apparently I overmixed the guitar versus the bass. I put up a new version of the song with less roll-off on the bass guitar. Thanks for the comments. Guitarhacker - Thanks for listening. I'll look into the tuning. evadianepug - Thanks for listening. I'm glad you enjoyed the music. Much appreciated. CLEAN - Thanks for listening and commenting. Venus - Thanks for listening. I do like the imagery of the lyrics in this one. I put up a new version with less rolled off on the low end of the bass. I was worried about too much boom from the bass and must have gotten carried away. blipp - Thanks for the very kind words. They are appreciated it. It's a hobby for us, but it sure is a lot of fun. No How - Thanks for listening. In the latest version I tried to dial up a bit more mids from the "meaty" guitars based on your suggestion. foxwolfen - Thanks for listening and the kind words. notnat - Thanks for listening. I appreciate the comments. Tombo - Thanks for listening and the comments. I did upload a new version with less roll-off on the bass guitar low-end. I'll look at the PSP plug you are talking about as well. I'm going to try Melodyne on the intro guitar or re-track it this weekend if that doesn't work. I'll also look at your comment about the dry drums and see if I can add a bit more of the ambience in Superior. Again, I appreciate the detailed suggestions. Thanks again to everyone who listened and to everyone who posted comments. We really appreciate and listen to what you say. Tom

You got a real nice voice. It is easy on the ears. Good tone. Intro is too long for my tastes. It is good, but could use a few measures shaved off. Overall, the whole song is just too long by at least 1:20. There is not enough dynamic changes to justify the length. Take it for what it is worth, YMMV... The guitars sound like a blanket is over them. Like a huge eq scoop has been taken out. The percussion (bongos?) are panned too hard left . Use a channel tool to give them some dimension. Bass is there, but non-distinct. Snare is too loud and the kick is missing at times during the loud parts.

Excellent job Tom! I like the changes as it's a lost art these days. Your vocals are excellent and so is the recording and playing. I would have to say the weakest link for me is the drums. It seems a bit uneven but that's just being nitpicky.

Cool song and a great arrangement. The mix sounds good on my speakers. Great vox and harmonies. Really nice chord changes/melody(s).
