Ctrl+A Only selects visible clips

If you do a Ctrl+A in Track view to select all clips, it only seems to select the visible clips, not all clips as some might expect. For example, I was trying to shift all my clips in a project to the right by 20 or so beats. However, clips that were off the right side of the screen when I did a Ctrl+A + drag didn't move.

In a project today, it's taken me hours to identify the clips that didn't move (Speed comping made it even worse) and adjusting them to the rest of the song. All of this because Ctrl+A didn't select all tracks and clips in the project.

Ummm, that's not the case.  You must have had a time selection in the ruler.  If there's no selection, Ctrl+A selects the entire time range of the project whether or not the clips are currently in the portion of the clips view on screen.
You can turn off Num Lock then press the 5 key in the num pad to clear the selection.

This was the case for me. No time selection in the ruler. If I do a Ctrl+A, it will select all clips that at least part of which appear on the screen. If they do not, I'm finding some don't move if I move the selection.
