Cubase, MOTU, and Windows!

Not a good combination!
 
After a seamless installation of Cubase Elements trial (no usb licenser req.), I find it won't see my MOTU midi micro lite.
MOTU's website says I need OMS (which is for Mac only?). Then they give you a link for more info in the form of a .sit.hqx file that Windows can't open without buying another zip utility leaving you dead in the water.
 
ProTools wouldn't run for me due to audio interface incompatability. I guess I won't be using Cubase either.
 
Sonar was the best Windows DAW!
