Cultivating The Blues

I don't know what it is about the early more primitive electric Chicago style Blues that grabs me -- but it does.  I am again trying to borrow from Jimmy Reed and Eddie Taylor for the music in this number and put a little bit of their looseness in it.  I am also trying to incorporate the "I've been down so long, being down don't worry me" and the "I've been down so long, everything looks up to me" attitude in the lyrics.
Maybe I got it and maybe I didn't but I had fun in putting it together (a constant theme of mine).  Anyway, I hope that it gets your toe tapping.
As always comments will be appreciated, and thanks in advance for listening.

This song both asks and answers that age old question... Can blue men sing the whites? I think even in Ferguson Missouri, the answer is yes on this one.

**NOTE** The two slightly darker blue men are staring menacingly at the slightly lighter blue man, as if to say WTF? He can actually sing the whites and they just don't understand.

Yeah Freddy, you got it goin' on!
I really like the interplay between the guitar and the harmonica. And it's got that good blues groove happening.

    Yeah, it's got that vibe.

Overall I think the mix works well and carries the vibe.  The only minor thing for me is that the drums may be a lacking a little "liveliness".   Everything else just sounds a little better IMHO.   Oh and the harmonies actually remind me of the Grateful Dead.

Other than the abrupt ending, this is a terrific song.  Maybe, pay a little more attention to the quick fade out, and you've got another winner on your hands.  Nice job, Freddy.

Robbie:  After my last medical treatment I was certainly black and blue -- ouch!

Hi Lynn:  I think that sometimes when you get done with a number you should just ignore it for a few days and then come back and listen to it.  After reading your comments I went back and listened again and doggone if it was closed out in a bit of a hurry -- wasn't it?  Thanks Lynn, I appreciate the comments and the insight!!

Hey Robert:  Thanks for the kind comments and taking time to listen.  Now that I have re-listened to this number, it does seem that I was in a bit of a hurry to close out the end.  Thanks for the heads-up.

How bout those vocals?  They've come a long way.  Sounds like it could be on Halsted St.  If you haven't been there put it on your bucket list.  YOU would love it.
