In Sonar. Rex loops (Beatscape) has similar grooves. Recently, I haven't messed much with Sonar's phat samples in dimPro.
But 'Dirty South' and the numerous other sub-genre R&B hip hop: great!!!, IMHO, when
pre-written to your hip-hop style (
www.producerloops.com , etc.) ... for a nominal fee ($20-30 US).
Such excellent acidized, apple loops are there for your mimics (groove and vox), royalty free, once purchased.
+1 Legion:
Just listen to and imitate and screw-up/down with tapestop, Melodyne, and/or pitch-benders. Study their waves (visually) ...
its too easy to be a hip-hop artist, IMHO. If you can't learn the vst, you can buy the groove you luv for cheap.
For autotune and screw-up/down techniques there are free harmonizers and such (VSTs) ... but for 'sweet' robotic-vocs quality many purchase 64-bit Melodyne:
Melodyne videos and such explain how to screw up/down vocals:
http://www.5min.com/Video/Melodyne-Sound-Editing-Tips-with-Hank-and-Keith-Shocklee-180568536 The beauty of hip-hop is that much is sample-driven (new-school?) and many artists have already spent inordinant hours perfecting grooves for you/I to buy dirt-cheap and exploit royalty-free.
Purchaseable samples, IMHO, are much better than BiaB and Beatscape ... for inspiring pro-sounding hip-hop songs quickly. The market is soo saturated with it.
But many others, here, prefer to re-invent all the groove wheels altogether ... for a excellent reasons.
Your/my vox is the only missing element.
