Cursor movement over GUIs causing audible crackling
When I move the cursor over VST GUIs within Sonar Platinum there is audible crackling/interference. This first started happening when I installed my first two Waves plugins a couple of weeks ago. I contacted Waves technical support, but cutting a long story short and despite a lot of effort on their part, the problem is not resolved. In fact, despite never occurring before purchasing the two Waves plugins, the problem now happens with cursor movement over most plugins, including the Sonitus range.
I am on Windows 10, I have a 27 inch HP all in one which is only a few months old. Spec: i7 - 6700T CPU @ 2.8 GHz, 2 x 8GB Ram. There are two graphic adapters, and the drivers have been updated to the latest versions - AMD Radeon R7 A360 and an Intel HD graphics 530.
I have ruled out the wireless mouse. On Waves Supports's advice, I tried disabling the Intel graphics, which got rid of the problem described above, and Sonar ran perfectly UNTIL I opened one of the Waves plugins, which caused Sonar to crash within a minute or two. Waves support took control of my machine last week and did a complete reinstall of their two plugins, but it made no difference. I have the latest version of Waves Central and Splat installed.
Apart from the issue described, Sonar is rock solid.

I noticed Waves installs one of the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables (can't remember which one, but I think older than the one SONAr installs). This is pure speculation on my part, but I'm wondering if this could have anything to do with it. Frankly, I don't even know what Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables do, but I thought I'd mention it, just in case one of the forum members who knows more about this stuff has any ideas.

Would I be right in thinking your wireless mouse has a dongle that plugs into a USB port.
Is you soundcard a USB card?

Interesting. Whilst Waves support were remotely taking control of my PC, the guy commented on the apparent small file size of one of these Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables, and thought it "didn't look right". It was a few kbs, whilst the rest were multi megabyte in size.

Is you soundcard a USB card?
Yes, there's a usb that remotely connects with the mouse and keyboard. I use a first gen Focusrite 6i6.
