Custom Effects List Issues

Ok, so I gather that there is a known issue with custom effects lists - can someone please explain what causes the list to screw up?

I had created and saved my own effects list which I was using up until recently when it completely disappeared for no apparent reason!  I have recreated the effects list close to what I had before, but now it shows (32-bit) beside each 32 bit plugin (which it didn't do before) and I am concerned that this custom effects list is going to break again in the future.

What do you guys do?  How do you save your custom effects list?  Is there a cause for the list to go corrupt/disappear?  This is a really annoying bug!

I've seen it mentioned before but never experienced it. I have a couple of lists which were made pre X1 IIRC and they both function as expected.

You are lucky you haven't had this issue, or maybe I am unlucky to have had it.

I know this has happened to others before, but I cannot seem to find the threads (I did do a quick search).

Can someone who's seen this issue please chime in?
