Custom Fx plug-in layout menu and custom templates not showing up

This is not the first time this has happened. I go to load Sonar and my custom Fx menus and custom templates are gone. I have reinstalled the program before and fixed it but this time it didn't work. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not since I've seen others with the same problem.

Apparently it is not solved because it is still happening.
I am using Sonar 8.5.3.282 with win 32 bit and 32 bit installation.

If I go into the plug in manager I can select my custom menu I saved but then it doesn't show up in the menu when I right click.

As for the template, I can load it only by clicking on the icon in Windows explorer but it doesn't show up in the template list like it should when choosing to create a new project in Sonar.

It is very frustrating because I've spent a lot of time customizing my menus and now have to fiddle around more instead of working on my music.

Anyone have a solution?
Thanks

Okay, so after a bit of trial and error, I have a workaround solution.

What I did was go into the plug in manager, load my custom fx menu and then re-saved it under a different name. After doing this, it showed up in the menu list.

As for the template, same sort of deal. I opened it through Windows explorer, re-saved it under a different name and then it showed up in the menu when you choose to start a new project.

I wonder if a program like CCleaner or Advanced System Care could be somehow not associating the file extensions that cakewalk uses and deleting them as unused file extensions. If that is the case, then it may cause the menu items to disappear.
Although I have excluded the extensions '.cwt, .pgl, and .wov (I think this extension is used by other media files as well)' it still somehow managed to make my menus disappear until I found my workaround solution.
Hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same problem. :)

P.S. .cwt is the template extension and .pgl is the fx menu extension. All you have to do is find your template file and double click to load it if not showing up in menu.

These cleanup programs actually compress files and when the files are compressed, cakewalk isn't able to use them. I find the files in windoze explorer and uncompress. You just right click and unclick the compress file to save disk space option. Then the file is back to normal and cakewalk can use it again.
