Custome plugin menu?

Hi all,
I have been using Sonar since it was at 6. I came across some pictures and videos on PT and found that their plugin menu layout (see the picture below) might be helpful when mixing, but I don't know how to do it (automatically) in Sonar or use plugin manager.

In the picture you can see that PT organises plugins in three different parts. The first one is a favourite short list on the top. The second is by its categories, which we already have for VST3 plugins in Sonar. The third one is by manufacturers, as you can see at the bottom of the list.

To me, sorting by categories is helpful when looking up plugins, but that's restricted to VST3 only. I have some plugins working in VST2 only and in that case they won't show up in the list constructed by categories (actually in Sonar, VST2/VST3 are different lists, see the picture below).

In this case, sometimes it's not easy to locate the plugin I'd like to use for the first time, particularly for those in VST2 only. I usually end up go to VST3 list first and realize that it wasn't there, then go to VST2 list to locate the plugin I'd like to use.

Ok. My questions are simple.

1. Is there a way to automatically put VST3/VST2/DirectX/FXchain plugins in a single list?
2. Is there a way to sort non-VST3 plugins by categories, as the layout for VST3 plugins?
3. Is there a way to sort plugins by manufacturers?
4. Is there a way to combine the three approaches mentioned in 1, 2 and 3 and put them all together in a list (even with a favourite list lol)?

I have realised that I can construct my own plugin lists using the plugin manager, but it's just too pain to manually sort plugins and put them into different folders. It will be great if there's a way to automatically sort them out.
Thank you for reading through. Cheers.

Look for menu magic in the first post. Be aware, it has a cost.

Custom plugins can be made in the plugin manager.
There is a new button on the top right.  Just click and assign a name for your set.
I always name one set !Favorites or something like that with an !   It makes this list show up on top.  I always put my go to EQ Reverb etc in this group.

    "Edited spelling"
New Tag line so I won't have to keep typing this. I may or may not have edited this yet, but I probably need to.

You might want to check out Week 78 in the Friday's Tip of the Week thread; it covers using the Plug-In Manager. It takes some effort to organize all your plug-ins, but ultimately, it's a time-saver.

Thanks everyone for your advises. I will consider investing some time to construct my plugin list. If anyone knows how to construct the list *automatically* as in the OP, please feel free to comment. Thanks!
