Cyanide Wand - Prog Instrumental

A title stolen from Genesis and a synth sound stolen from ELP (Nori Ubakata’s Trilogy patch for Synthmaster if your interested.)

This is a bit of an instrumental rant about “False News” and “Post Truth” journalism both mainstream and the insidious unaccountable internet spread stuff.

I feel like I've discovered some experimental British prog album from the early 70's. I can hear the rant. Pretty awesome stuff.

Oh yeah...   I likes it.   Dan's comment pretty much sums it up for me - "I feel like I've discovered some experimental British prog album from the early 70's."   Nailed the vibe IMO.  Given the title and lead synth tone, it really does seem to fall somewhere between 70's era Genesis and ELP.

This 'retirement' thing is paying off Glyn, you're on a musical roll!  Love the ELP synth patch and those alternating guitar/keyboard chords, cool stuff.

Yep, it was like visiting an "Awesome '70's Synth Museum" and as an appreciator of LLDOB I found it very enjoyable indeed.

Listening to it, I was kind of waiting for the drums, and when they came in at last, I was wanting them to be busier.

So I suggest you make an hour and a half long epic album where this song comes back again with some driving rock drums!  But it's very cool as it is, nice job.

    Keep it Rael,
    -Tom

I enjoyed this a lot -- very nice use of the different synth sounds and the arrangement is terrific. The mix is well done with spread and panning.  That organ sound is so 70s prog it brings a tear to the eye :)  Also, I got your description of the "cheerleaders" and agree.  !!
