D16 Group Releases Decimort 2

We'd like to announce that Decimort 2 / High Quality Bit Crusher will be released on January 7th, 2016 and will replace previous version of the product. Decimort 2 has been completely redesigned elevating it to entirely new heights. To read more about what you should be prepared for please visit: http://d16.pl

I tried to include a picture of the plugin, but it resulted in massive amounts of "code" being displayed on the page instead.

What are the opinions of Decimort (original) and/or Decimort 2?

I've pitted Decimort up against several other free bit-crusher/lofi plugins, and it sounds about the same.  However, Decimort seemed smoother and less "edgey" than the others.  It had a better, smoother "sweep" range too, which I like for automated movements and risers.

I tried it against TAL Bitcrusher, E-Phonic LOFI, Multibandbitcrusher I, and Cakewalk's Alias Factor.

The new Decimort has some new filtering options/effects too.  I'll probably demo it to try it out, but I wanted to get other people's opinions as well.

It has more options than, say, Alias Factor. The new UI is a big improvement over the version I've got.

But I hate bit-reducers in general and have never used any of the ones I've got. I only have Decimort because it was part of a bundle.

Now, the other D16 effect that recently got a makeover, Devastor - that's a winner. Great for dirtying-up a drum bus.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Yep, given the tiny cost of an upgrade, I'll be picking it up as well, knowing full well I'll probably never actually use it.  But the D16 guys are nice fellows, so what the heck?

Just came in an email as I already own the "Silverline" collection which includes Decimort 1.
If you own Decimort 1 I'm sure you're entitled to the upgrade price...just send em an email.

Used it on another project yesterday. It's killer diller on a drum buss for grunge and grit.
