DAW fader controller employing multiple "mouse-wheel" <- do you think this will work ?

I had been thinking and hoping to find such product.. LOL

Imagine, a surface controller with eight or more mouse wheels for fader movement control - can be produced cheaply, as it's none motorized.

Edit : Perhaps a bigger wheel for comfort.

Will it work ?

I forget who produced it - a major music tech company, that had a control surface w/ the same kind of thing.  It was more like a catepiller tracks, tho.

That is an interesting idea, tho, Albert, esp. combined w/ a visual feedback of where the fader level is, like meters alongside them.

Found some interesting controller from Steinberg CMC series, but not sure those are specially made for Cubase or can be use for Sonar. The CMC-FD (touch fader) is quite interesting.

I've written to Logitech and Keith McMillen (the QuNeo company).. perhaps they will do something if they think it's good.
