DOES X1C update directly from X1?

or do I need the intermediate updates first ie: X1a

i read the X1C is cumulative but couldn't get a clear affirmation it will go from X1 directly, btw I went from one to one C and wonder if some of my quirks are related to that step.

    You need at least 1a. _____That is what the directions "imply". _____It says it can be installed "over" 1a,1b, and the hotfixes. _____It does NOT say it can be installed over 1.

    I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 and then I installed X1 from the original DVD's and immediately installed the X1c patch after that and it works fine.

    So yes, X1c will update you directly from an X1 original installation.

    Cakewalk needs to clarify their info on the web site.

    The E-mail announcement was very clear.

    "Plus you won't be required to download any past updates as SONAR X1c includes the SONAR X1a, X1b, and QuickFix patches for one seamless download experience."
    BTW, I thought I'd also add that this is a first in CW history.
     
    In the past you have had to DL and apply each update.

    Its a cumulative patch with patch a and be in it plus all hot fixes.

    In a post from CW they make this clear.
