Being a pro at this stuff, you should be fine Wooks ......what took me the longest time when re-installing Win8 was the re-registering of all my software. I did keep all of them in one place, so it was easier to access (and not miss registering one).

Best of luck!!

Hi,

No issues with W7-64 bit, and I added it to a second computer which was gifted to my friend (after an upgrade!!!), and a bit later had an issue with the video card (GTX650). I took the opportunity at the time to upgrade the memory on the computer so my friend had a reasonable one to play with.

The main issue was that W7-64bit, did not like the current (at the time) video driver for the card and any games would crash after 5 minutes, and this was resolved a bit later by upgrading the video driver.

Other than that, no issues, other than the validating BS ...

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

True very true but there are all my personal pre-sets to my Arturia synths and that is lots as I own the V Collection.

Oh then there is Superior Drummer 2 fortunately I have the sounds installed on a sample drive so that is not to much grief.  Plus other various plugs and toys.....

But that can wait for the next cycle Wookiee now needs to go do his day job and prepare food for the senior management and probably take the middle management out for a walkie.

Crossed or uncrossed when you only have three claws on each paw and the end in sharp flesh rendering claws typing is ridiculous any time.

Coincidentally I am (not Am*) doing the same thing on my office rig.
I'm just going with X3.
All was "well" until I "let" FLASH try to install itself; OUCH!
Blue screened the next day upon a cold boot.
My trusty image put me right back in business!
I've got about 165gb of "images" burnt; I'll sort it all when I'm SURE all is good.
Image, Image, Image.
Just sayin'...

Currently SD2 NY Avatar 1 sounds

Next Metal Foundry Sounds if the DVDs work which they where tricky first time round

Then the V Collection

Good luck with the images, will be installing Acronis when I can find the DVD and will be making an image myself.

On one of my older computers with the 7-64bit, I had a freezing problem and it turned out that it was the video driver that was causing the issue.

Yeah!

But that's OK, because now that computer is better and stronger!
