DX Plug in missing Project Crashes

I have a project in Sonar X1c and a DX plug won't let the project open.  The message says:  Unable to find: C:\PROGA~1\cakewalk\VSTPLU~1\Apps\6_peq\6_peq.cfg  and then the program hangs up and then closes.  I am wondering if there is a location in the project file that I can go to remove the plugin from the project.  I will try anything that works.  Anyone have any options?

    You can start the program in safe mode by holding down the Shift key while opening the project. Then, you will be prompted to load each plug in. Choose not to load the one that's causing the problem and then do a save as for the project and load the project you did the save as for. See if that fixes your problem.

    Interesting...  You referred to a DX plugin, but the path looks like a VST location.   Typically, VSTs can be (re)read by running a scan with the Plugin Manager, but DXs need to be manually registered or simply reinstalled.

    Exactly what was it that cleared up the problem? Re-scanning or the starting up SONAR using the safe mode method?

    yes,thank you sonar can be a bit dangerous at times.

    im guessing it was barnseys "open in safe mode" advise.
