DXi metronome trouble

Hey everybody...

I have a pretty old Cakewalk program (Music Creator 2002) and I can't quite figure out how to sound the metronome when I'm working in DXi. For whatever reason, if I'm playing in DXi, I can't hear my metronome at all! Can anyone PLEASE help?!

    Open a midi track, then open the piano roll, place a note at the beginning of each main grid line and copy that for as many measures as you need, then route that midi thru channel 10 and the DXi synth using a stick or hi hagh hit for the metro it will be more in time than the actual metro
