Top class productions as per usual Frank. The "video" suits the mood really well.

Thanks for the explicit warning: No redemption here! The following is JMO/IMHO only: Well things started out extremely 'promising' ... then decrementally degenerated throughout the rest of the production (on many levels: message, conviction, vibe, coherence). Sorry, but this seems one of the worst pieces I've ever encountered ... This is not the aspiring Nat that I know nor ever wish to know ... Unfortunately, I've witnessed many blessed artists ruin themselves with creepy superfluity ... to a wretched point of no return. This is one of those. God I hope I'm wrong!

The music seemed to have very little connection to the actual video images. It would have been nice to have seem relevant images to the music. The two finger blues guitar was pretty uninspiring. A bit too cliche.

Ok dickhead pete has weighed into the debate again and all I can say is ignore. Your voice if that is you Frank reminds me of Van Morrison. I don't mind the track, not my sort of thing but the playing is excellent and the vocal is too. It has a bit too much reverb for my liking and it feels a little to full in the low-mids. But if that is as critical I can be, you have done an excellent job. Peace Ben

Thanks Warrenlee... If you dirve south for about 22 hours to the gulf coast... You might eventually get to hear me and the band play this... I'll be in Panama City tonight... Timbo... only five... time to cross-over to something a little harder...LOL Mr. Pistol... I'll have you know I used all 8 fingers, and at least one thumb on the guitar parts... and both thumbs on the organ... You didn't mention the harp... did you like the harp? some people hate harmonicas... I call it a Mississippi Saxaphone... but again, that's just so cliche... Ben... thank you for the interesting, and colorfull feedback... James... I don't think he liked the harmonicas... btw, Happy birthday... when you were only ten years old, I was almost twice as old as you... If we both live long enough, we'll be virtually the same age... (grin:)

I didn't mention the harp. It blurred into the guitar because they were too close together tonally. It sounded neither awful or spectacular because it was too woven to the guitar. But yes you are right, it was too cliche. Harps are cool and can add a nice tonal change of pace to a song.

What has this world come to when people don't get the blues? It's like not understanding that when one builds a house, you start with the foundation and not the roof. The blues was the foundation for the Beatles, Rolling Stones, soul music, etc., etc. Phillip, I'm surprised because you produce some fine music and commentaries on this forum. I would have thought this was right up your wheelhouse. Pete, who knows where you're coming from? I, like everyone else, am still waiting to here an example of your skills. Maybe once we're familiar with your influences, we'll have a better understanding of your commentary. Frank, this is great stuff, and I can't imagine anyone singing and playing with more skill and conviction.

Hi Frank, Great to hear this tune again. Definitely one of my favorites from the CD. Man, I just love everything about this... The R. Crumb pics are a nice touch, too! Haven't seen those in years...decades, maybe.

Hey, Frank, Absolutely terrific down-home blues song, with all the elements of a radio-ready production! Super playing and vocals, love the walking bass lines and gritty harp stuff, and the mix is absolutely perfect for the genre. The song flowed nicely with the vintage comic strip stuff in the video. Killer production, buddy! Bob
